About the Teacher...
Mrs. Creighton is in her seventh year of teaching at Holy Family Catholic School. Being a Decatur native, she is happy to be in the Central Illinois area and have the opportunity to teach such great kids!
Beth graduated from Millikin University in May 2001 with a degree in Vocal Music Education. She moved to the Chicagoland area where she taught at Woodland Middle School (2600 students!) for one year. Upon moving back to the Decatur, Beth was offered the Holy Family position and also served as director for Eisenhower Elite Energy show choir for the 2002-2003 season. She enjoys being in Decatur and serving as a force for music education in the area.
Mrs. Creighton also loves to participate in different fine arts programs around the city. Mrs. Creighton has the pleasure of accompanying Opus 24, a semi-professional adult vocal ensemble directed by Milt Scott. Beth also accompanies two choirs at Millikin University, JeDeMi theater productions, and a few private piano lessons at home. During the summer of 2008, Beth was part of a team who directed a production of "High School Musical" at the Lincoln Theater.
Beth and her husband, Keith, were married on June 28, 2003. The newest addition to their family, Zoe Elizabeth, arrived on September 15, 2006. The new baby and their two cats definitely keep them busy!!
